August 2014 Newsletter
Letter from the President
Hi Ladies!
It's hard to believe the last few weeks of the summer are upon us! I hope everyone has had the chance to get out & make some amazing memories with your families. We have been crossing things off our summer bucket list at the Wright Household & it feels so good. I included the list of things to do again! If anyone has anything they would like to add to this, please email me & I'll edit & share the list again.
I personally can't wait for our Family Picnic on September 13th! It should be a really great day full of games, prizes, food, fun, & most importantly....FAMILY! I hope some of our new members as well as members that haven't made it out to an event recently can join us at the picnic!
We, as an eboard, are open to your suggestions & ideas about the club & the activities that are planned & coordinated. We welcome them! We want to hear from you & know what you want from this club. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us! In the next few weeks, we will be putting to together an online survey so we can better understand your needs & wants. Look for that in your email!
XO,
Stephani
WElcome new members!
We’re so glad to have you along with us on this journey & we hope that you will take advantage of all of the wonderful things our MOMS Club has to offer. There is truly something for everyone!
Playgroup Volunteers Needed!
Within MOMS Club we have playgroups organized specifically for your child’s age group. These groups meet at member’s homes or in parks & rotate hosts within the group. The groups are divided by age & are coordinated by a member within the group.
Currently we are in need of Coordinators! These events can occur once a month or as frequently as the group sees fit. The Coordinator is not responsible for all of the organizing & hosting, but just helps facilitate the meet ups.
Playgroups are organized independently from the monthly calendar of activities. Please let me know if you are interested in taking on one of these positions!
Age 4+:
2.5 ~ 3.5 years:
1.5 ~ 2.5 years: Brislyn Anton
Non~walkers:
PLEASE RSVP!
Hosting an event often can sound a little daunting, especially to new members! Hosting is very simple. Decide on something that you would like to do with your child, a date that works for you, & a time. Simply create an event on FB with all the information, & voila! You're the host!
You can choose to host at your home, but you don't have to. Most of our events are at public places which is nice & easy. Don't feel as though you need to provide snacks or drinks for the kids. Simply write BYO in the event!
To create an event in FB, click on Events, Create Event, & fill out the event information. Let's get our calendar filled up with fun stuff for the summer!

New Group - Recipe Club!
Marianne Green has volunteered (or I twisted her arm?!) to be our new Recipe Club Coordinator! We are so excited & Marianne has SO many great ideas. We originally thought this would be a quarterly activity & we would collect all of the recipes to distribute to everyone at the end of the year. BUT she has so many great ideas that we are going to just go with it & plan accordingly!
A few of Marianne's ideas include a wine pairing which we can do at an MNO, freezer meals, kid friendly meals, family traditions, kitchen sink meals, & much, much more!
We thought we could tie this into the Holiday Party, dinner & a movie, & MNO! Stay tuned for our first Recipe Club Event coming your way in September!
What do you think about the following activities or subgroups?
- DIY Club - crafts for mom!
- Coupon Club - swapping coupons with other moms that love to save
- Scrapbooking Group
- Moms Movie Club
Email your thoughts or ideas to stephani.j.wright@gmail.com. If you would like to start one of these or another group, please let me know!

**Look for Denville Dairy coupons in the mail (typically 15% off of your entire order). Denville Dairy's website posts a "$3 off $15 or more". Perhaps grab some ice cream to go - it's just as tasty as the over the counter variety. NOTE - you must print coupons; DD won't accept smart phone ads.

The Loop & Trailside - hosted by Janet Crane
My plan is to park at the Trailside Nature Center and then walk to the park (note...it's a couple hundred yards away). We'll play at the park and prob eat lunch for an hour or so and then walk back to the nature center (so we can just leave from there when we're done) which opens at noon. It is so nice inside...lots of animal exhibits and hands on activities. Perfect for toddlers to early school age kids. And it's FREE :) They do accept donations, though.
Hope you can join us!
