Soaring Into Spring
Hello parents and families,
This has been an exciting return to school after winter break.
On January 17, we celebrated Ben Franklin's birthday with treats at lunch from our Franklin Parent Organization. Thank you, FPO!
On January 23, we hit the 100th day of school and celebrated with a kindergarten parade through the halls. This is a great time of year to celebrate the major growth of our students, especially the littlest ones.
We are approaching our second round of Parent-Teacher Conferences. Last week you should have received conference sign-up forms from your student's teacher via email. All parents are required to attend their conference. Conferences are a good time to hear about your student's progress including strengths and needs, ask questions, and discuss end-of-year goals. Teamwork between home and school is such a benefit to our students.
This Thursday is Arts & Academics Night. We are so excited to showcase the creative talents of our Firebirds. Classrooms will be open for walk-throughs from 6-6:30. Contest entries will be on display in the cafeteria from 6-7pm. The awards presentation ceremony will be in the auditorium at 7:00.
There are many fun school events coming up. See the 'Upcoming Events' section below for more information. We look forward to seeing you at school!
Thank you for your support,
Mrs. Moya & Mr. Abrams
