Field Day

On Monday, May 17, 2021, we will be having Field Day. (Our rain date for field day is May 24, 2021.) On this day all grades will gather for fun, outdoor games. The tug-of-war tournament will follow after the games to show off the students awesome strength!

Some things to keep in mind for that day:

  • Students should wear appropriate clothing for the weather.

  • Please make sure your child has a water bottle for that day.

  • Sunscreen should be applied before leaving home for the day.

***Please note that unfortunately due to COVID restrictions we will not be allowing parents to attend Field Day this year like we have in the past. ***

LAST Popcorn Day

PTC will be popping popcorn on Friday, May 14th! This will be our last popcorn day of this school year.

From Our Kitchen to Yours

It has been a pleasure serving our students all year. We wish our students a wonderful and safe summer and we will see you in the fall!

Wheatfield Elementary has adopted a policy that we do not accept requests for children to be placed in a specific teacher’s classroom. It is impossible to find an equitable method to permit requests for a certain teacher. We utilize computer technology as well as other criteria to create class lists. If you feel that your child has special requirements or would not work well with one certain teacher, please write a note and send it to the office, or you may contact the school office to make an appointment to discuss your child’s needs. Thank you.

If any information such as address, phone number, or emergency contacts change for your child, please call the school office. This will help us keep students’ records up-to-date. Since we notify all households regarding delays or cancellations via Skyward Skylert, it is very important that we have the correct phone number especially if your child gets sick or gets hurt.

The nurse has several incomplete immunization records. If you have current records for your child, please turn them in to the nurse. If you have questions, please call Mrs. Ward at extension 6104. Thank you for helping us to keep your child’s records up to date.
