Protecting the Second Amendment

Gun Rights

The Second Amendment is very important to our country. The NRA is a big supporter of the Second Amendment. Keeping our guns is important. That is how we protect ourselves. I think that civilian use of guns is what keeps a lot of other countries away from us.

Keeping our Rights

What it does

If everyone had a gun on them then there would be a lot less crime. None of the shootings that were on the news would have ever happened. They would have got stopped by the people in the building. I dont understand why some politicians would want to take that right away. Protecting ourselves is a right that our founding fathers gave us, and it shouldn't be taken away. In 2010 a census was taken, 40% of American households have guns. Out of that 40%, 17% of those guns are handguns. That is what people usually carry when they are outside of their home. For the south 38% of the people there own guns. That's not a high number, but it is when you think about how many less shootings happen in the south. It seems like all the shootings tend to happen up north where they disagree with owning a gun. Coincidence? I think not.
