THE IMPORTANCE OF GOOD ATTENDANCE
We have some fun incentives for the students who are in class on time. A friendly competition between PACKS has been going on. The PACK with the fewest amount of tardies for the month of October was able to have a "Not Tardy Party" at the end of the month to celebrate. We will continue to have similar "Not Tardy Party" celebrations throughout the year.
Battle of the Books
Are you ready for Battle of the Books? This is a completely voluntary program which encourages students to read good books and have fun while competing with other students. Students form a team consisting of two to five members. The team is responsible for reading all 20 books on the Battle of the Books list. In late winter, teams will compete by answering questions about each of the 20 books. The team with the highest score will represent Spring Canyon at the district Battle of the Books competition. This flyer has all needed information and will be available to the students in the library. Students can for their own teams or be assigned a team, whichever they prefer. Get reading Spring Canyon Wolves!

PTSA Fundraiser
For this year’s PTSA fundraiser we’re keeping it simple. We’ve sent home flyers, donation forms, and envelopes. Please return the envelope with the donation form inside. It doesn’t matter if you donate online or with a check, cash or goodwill. All forms received will be placed in a daily drawing for student prizes. Fun prizes will also be earned as we reach certain goals (info on the flyer that was sent home).
Why donate? The PTSA provides the SEP dinners for teachers, red ribbon week, kindness week, the reflections contest, help with vision screenings and more. Please help us support the teachers and provide additional experiences for your children. Let’s work together to make Spring Canyon Middle School great!

Nebo Family Mental Health Night
This might be the most important event of the year for all parents! Support your child’s mental health and wellness by joining us for an informative event for parents and educators. Ask questions of leading family therapists and take advantage of a free resource to help parents with important topics such as identifying anxiety, depression, grief, suicide ideation and parenting with purpose.
