Holidays and Holy Days Connections for This Week
Friday October 2nd is the beginning of Sukkot, the Jewish harvest festival. It's a great time to appreciate the food we eat and think about all the plants, animals, and laborers that bring us our nourishment.
Sunday October 4th is St. Francis Day. Traditionally, St. Francis is patron of animals, so it is a good time to practice an act of kindness and care toward animals.

Greetings from Anissa
Hi all! I am Anissa Bentlemsani, your new Religious Education Assistant. I am most well known to the children and youth of the OUUC because of my years of work in the nursery and the classrooms. This year I am stepping into a new role as the RE assistant in order to better serve our families during this virtual time. I am excited to increase my involvement in our spiritual community and look forward to being a resource to you all.
Thanks,
Anissa
Yours in Faith,
Sara Lewis, credentialed religious educator, master level
Director of Community and Faith Development
