Cambridge Communicator
August 2020
There's always a silver lining...find yours...
Principal's Message
On behalf of our Cambridge Staff I would like to officially welcome you to the 2020-2021 school year. The first day of school is September 8th. We are starting in a way we have never experienced before, with remote instruction. As a school community we have taken time to reflect, plan, learn and adjust to make this the best school year it can be. Although this school year will look much different than any other in the past, returning Cambridge families have experienced firsthand that Cambridge Elementary School is a place where your child can experience success and develop a love for learning. For those families who are new to Cambridge, you are joining a school community that compares to none!
We recognize there will be challenges throughout the school year, sometimes the work and the remote instruction environment will be hard. The silver lining is that your staff are some of the most caring, compassionate and experienced educators you will ever come across. Together through support and fueled by grit and determination we will help students reach the excitement of success. We expect obstacles and difficulties throughout the learning process. These obstacles will build self confidence, intrinsic motivation, and deepen knowledge for all of us. Our students will be expected to work hard independently, but they will always know when and where our support will come. As always, please do not hesitate to contact me if you ever have questions and concerns.
This year’s theme, There's always a silver lining...find yours... is a representation of our quest to find the positive in this uncertain world we are living in and to inspire each child that comes through Cambridge Elementary School to do so, as well. Here at Cambridge we believe that together teachers, students, and parents/guardians make our school “A Special Place for Children.” It is that belief that drives us as staff to foster positive relationships and maintain strong lines of communication with our students and parent community. Mrs. Fehte and I appreciate all that you do to support the work of our esteemed and dedicated educators. Let us all commit to a positive, fun-filled, and successful school year.
Educationally Yours,
Ms. Christi Pemberton, Principal
Mrs. Sandra Burghgraef-Fehte, Assistant Principal
