The Petrea Post
Due West Elementary
You are always welcome to e-mail me and tell me what learning activities you have discovered. I'd love to know! I'd be happy to help in any way.
Friday will be a "catch up" day for you to work on any learning activities that you haven't gotten to yet. You can scroll back through my posts for ideas.
Be sure to watch the Morning Messages on the Due West Homepage. It's a great way to start the day and get you focused and motivated!
Also check out the PE, Art, and Music blogs!

INSPIRE. CHALLENGE. ACHIEVE.
Angel is so happy to have her owners home all day! She doesn't know why they are here all the time, but she loves having Sarah and Cass home from college. She loves going in the backyard whenever she wants and getting treats slipped to her when her owners eat. This week her favorite activities have been going on daily walks, running in the big field by her house (even with only three legs), and chewing socks. She is trying hard to sleep later in the morning because her Mommy is tired of getting up at 5:30 AM to let her out.
Talya has been doing a great job with her online learning. She really helped me out with some technology this week. She enjoys doing a lot of learning activities. Her favorite is BrainpopJr because she gets to watch the movies. She likes Studies Weekly because you get rewarded with coins that you can use to purchase other items. This week she enjoyed celebrating Easter with her family and reading her Whatever After book. She has enjoyed seeing her friends on Zoom calls. She misses her DW teachers and she especially misses Veronica and Jillian.
Brody has been working hard at home. He has been writing a new book called The Magic Adventure, Book 1. The main character is named Vale and he has mystical powers. His mentor Alphas is training him to use his magic. For at home learning, Brody likes fun stuff like Prodigy. He also likes to read for a long time, so he is happy to have plenty of opportunities to do that. This week he enjoyed celebrating Ayden's birthday and hanging out with his brothers for a long time playing games. He got something he really wanted in his online game. Brody misses his teachers and friends.
I changed our Zoom call to Thursday at 12:00 this week. I am flexible with the time, so if that will not work for your family in the future, please let me know. I want to choose a time that allows for the most students to attend. We enjoyed having Miss Gabby visit us for this call! There will be another Mystery Guest next week!
Everyone did a great job trying to stay still and stay muted until it was his or her time to talk. I enjoyed seeing you!
