Now Accepting Athletic Hall of Fame Nominations Gananda Central School District seeks nominations for the Athletic Hall of Fame. Any individual can nominate a potential candidate by completing a Hall of Fame nomination application. More information and applications can be found on the Gananda website. Nominations are due by May 20, 2022 | Census Survey We need your help! As we move forward we need to gain a better understanding of our future student population within the district. To gather the needed information we are launching a Gananda Central School District Census. This census will gather basic information to help plan for changing class sizes and student needs. You can find the survey online through our website or you can request that we mail you a paper copy by contacting our Business Secretary, Sharie Lord at Slord@gananda.org or by calling 315-986-3521 ext. 8-4338. Please complete the survey by May 15, 2022. | Absentee Ballots In order to receive an absentee ballot for the Gananda Central School District Budget Vote & Board of Education Election on May 17, 2022 you must submit an application for an absentee ballot. If you meet the criteria and want to participate in the vote, please fill out the application and send it to the attention of Leslie Ferrante, District Clerk, Gananda CSD, 1500 Dayspring Ridge, Walworth, NY 14568. Upon receipt and approval of the application, an absentee ballot will be mailed to you. Ballots will be available for mailing on April 25, 2022. #DrivenThe Gananda Middle School National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is pleased to welcome 13 new members! On Tuesday, April 5, 2022 the following students were inducted into the NJHS:
Jordyn Brice, Emily Buffan, Jacob Frey, Cooper Grassel, Allison Ith, Alexandra King, Abigail LaBarge, Ella Ng, Conlan Simpson, Sarah Sohns, Maddox Stoughton, Katherine Van Scoy, Brady Wadsworth.
Students were selected for demonstrating high standards of scholarship, leadership, service and character. Congratulations to our newest inductees! | #Outstanding Hats off to the Gananda High School Drama Club for performing an amazing show! The cast and crew put on the musical, "Damn Yankees" | #Driven Congratulations to our January Proud Panther award recipients, 6th grader Tessa Piccaretto , 7th grader Jocelyn Marshall and 8th grader Mimi Espada. These students were chosen by their teachers for demonstrating the 'D" in PROUD (Driven). |

Negative COVID results should be reported to your school nurse prior to your child's return to school. Please send a picture of the negative test with the child's name, date and time of test to your school nurse. ParentSquare is the best format for sending the results.
Please keep you child home if they are sick. We have COVID-19 test kits available upon request for anyone that would like them. To request a kit, please reach out to the main office of your child's school.

Ringworm:
A highly contagious, fungal infection of the skin or scalp.
Ringworm is spread by skin-to-skin contact or by touching an infected animal or object. It's usually an itchy, circular rash with clearer skin in the middle. Ringworm gets its name because of its appearance.
Signs and symptoms of ringworm may include:
- A scaly ring-shaped area, typically on the buttocks, trunk, arms and legs
- Itchiness
- A clear or scaly area inside the ring, perhaps with a scattering of bumps whose color ranges from red on white skin to reddish, purplish, brown or gray on black and brown skin
- Slightly raised, expanding rings
- A round, flat patch of itchy skin
- Overlapping rings
