STAFF SPOTLIGHT - MRS. SUNSHINE WILLIAMSON

Big picture

Sunshine Williamson is the Administrative Assistant in the Office of Clinical Experiences. She is thankful to be at Jax State and is an Alumni of the College of Education and Professional Studies with a degree in Elementary Education. She loved teaching middle school math and science before she came home to homeschool her two daughters for 12 years. Since she began working in the OCE, she has gained quite a love for excel tricks and finding extensive ways to use mail merge.

Sunshine is passionate about her family and looks forward to time together. She has been married to Scott for 27 years and they have two daughters, Mabrey and Ensley, son-in-law, Payton and future son-in-law, Ethan. She and Scott live on a farm in Hokes Bluff and call themselves empty nesters though their home is rarely empty. She enjoys kayaking, hiking, knitting, sewing and square dancing. Singing around the firepit with friends and family while drinking maple coffee is probably her favorite kind of evening. Sunshine worships at Church of the Highlands in Gadsden where she leads the Baptism Team and Small Groups, and she loves to serve with Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Her favorite bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
