This Weeks Skills
Language Arts: This week we will focus on the letters Jj and Qq. Our new sight words are here and me. We will also continue writing two sentences. I am encouraging them to not use the word because and and. We are writing persuasive sentences. An example would be..... I like dogs. They are fluffy. They are to state what they like and why. Our nursery rhyme for the week is I'm a Little Teapot.
Math: We are going to continue to work on addition. We are adding two numbers and finding the missing addend as well as 3D shapes
Fine Motor: This week we are spending 15 minutes first thing in the morning developing better fine motor. We are using sewing cards, snapping blocks, and bolts and screws.
Stations: This week we are starting new stations. They were very excited to start them. These will last for two weeks.
Spelling Test: Each week we take a spelling test. After grading it I have the students correct anything they missed. I expect them to spell the word correctly, write lowercase and make the letters legible. They are getting better!!
Books in a Bag
This week will be exciting for a few of them. They will have read 20 books and will be earning their privilege. Keep on Reading!!
Show and Tell
Dr. Seuss Week
I hope they were excited as well with all the activities.
