A representative from Education Quest will be here to give information on Federal Student Aid and the FAFSA process. Both students and parents are encouraged to attend the event in the Johnny Carson Theater.

Peter Kiewit Institute at UNO

The University of Nebraska's Peter Kiewit Institute includes two colleges: UNL College of Engineering and the UNO College of Information Science and Technology. Students must apply to participate in the programs. For more information about the Institute go to The institute has several scholarships available to their students including the Walter Scott, Jr. Scholarship, PKI Leader Development Program, etc. The scholarship deadline is December 15th. NFIB Young Entrepreneur Award

Are you a young entrepreneur? Do you know a young entrepreneur? Graduating high school seniors who operate their own small business are eligible to receive a 2015 NFIB Young Entrepreneur Award from the NFIB Young Entrepreneur Foundation. The scholarships are valued between $1,000 and $15,000. Visit for more information and to apply online between October 1 and December 18, 2014. Apply today because this opportunity could be gone in a flash.

National Wild Turkey Federation Scholarship Program

The National Wild Turkey Federation Scholarship Program awards $1000 - $10,000 awards to graduating high school seniors. To be elligible:

  • must be graduating with a 3.0 or higher GPA
  • must plan to pursue a degree at an accredited institution of higher education
  • must support the preservation of the hunting tradition and have a current hunting license
  • must hold a current NWTF membership (The local chapter will pay for a student's membership if they are not currently a member)
  • must be involved in school activities
  • must demonstrate leadership and community involvement.
To apply students will need to submit an application, submit an essay exhibiting dedication to conservation, and three letters of recommendation by January 1st.
