PINE RUN Elementary's PARENT-STUDENT BOOK CLUB!

Reading is a family affair at Pine Run Elementary School!

Moms, dads, and children came together to discuss John Grisham's Kid Lawyer and Rain, Reign by Ann M. Martin. Character development, plot, themes, and content preferences were shared during this fun-filled book club gathering. Thanks to Mrs. Strader, Mrs. Rombola, and Mrs. Pollina for making reading interesting, fun, and all about family!!!

COLD WEATHER RECESS

The decision to have outdoor recess is made daily in CBSD. It is based on a Weather Chart which factors in the current outside temperature and wind chill.

If the temperature and wind chill combination is:

  • Above 15 degrees—outdoor recess
  • Between 10-15 degrees—15 minutes outside recess, 15 minutes inside recess
  • Below 10 degrees—indoor recess only

As a reminder, children should always come to school dressed appropriately for the cold weather, including a winter coat, hat, gloves etc. We recognize the value of fresh air and exposure to sunlight so we encourage outdoor recess whenever it is safe to do so.
