What Happened During the Battle?
The Battle of Amiens started on August 8, 1918. The Battle of Amiens was on the Somme river in North-Western France. The foggy days helped Great Britain to attack the Germans. This battle had effects on all the soldiers. The British used all different types of weapons such as tanks, planes, guns, machine guns, canons and more. The Germans were not well prepared for battle without enough weapons. There were 10,000 soldiers involved in this battle.

The end of the battle
The battle ended on August 12, 1918. The battle made a mark in Canadian history. The Battle of Amiens was one of the most major battles involved in armoured warfare. The battle was the first in a string of success that led to the end of the World War I.
