Micro Elementary School Newsletter

Micro Headlines
- PLC's Start this week: Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 5th Grade will meet on Tuesday Afternoon. 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades will meet on Wednesday Morning.
- Please turn student information cards to the front desk. We need each child to have a card in the front office.
We are looking for innovators and risk-takers! At each monthly faculty meeting it would be awesome for two grade levels to present a planned PBL Unit. Other grade levels would complete a peer review form (which is located in the Micro PBL Shared Folder) and offer feedback. The idea is a team could email out a proposed project prior to the meeting, field clarifying/probing questions for a few minutes during the meeting, and then receive some warm and cool feedback from their colleagues. To sign up for September, email Mr. Parrish.
- If you fill out a leave form please remember to enter your absence in the Aesop program. If you need assistance, Mrs. Creech is your contact.
- Name our Spider Campaign! Please use this link to cast your vote for our Mascot. Also, please assist students with voting. We want 100% of staff and students to vote. https://goo.gl/forms/RI9Bc4CMnwSK7So23
- iReady: The rosters are not loaded. Mrs. Warren will notify us when we can begin assessing. Please read email from Mrs. Warren referencing iReady.

Excited Students
These two first graders were excited about the rocks they painted on Wednesday. They wouldn't let me leave without taking their picture!
Community Engagement!
We need more of this! Grandparents and community members in our building!
Student Voice
Many classrooms have added opportunities for students to share their thoughts, experiences, and connections. In this picture Mr. Jones' class engages in share time.

Know your WHY!
1st grade practiced sight words using shaving cream. I snapped this picture so we would remember to stay connected to WHY we do WHAT we do!
