BHS WA WORLD FELLOWS STUDENT
Castor Buhman, a sophomore AVID student, was recently selected by the Washington World Fellows program! This program picks fifteen students from the state of Washington through a rigorous application process. It is a 2.5 year college prep and study abroad program meant to help cultivate world awareness and leadership among those chosen. Castor is excited about this opportunity to represent his school, both in the state and abroad. His future plan is to become a science teacher, and he feels that this opportunity will help him along this path. His AVID teacher, Mrs. Faxon, says about Castor, "He is the perfect teammate, willing to be a leader or a team player, and will add a lot to this program." Congratulations, Castor!
SCHOLARSHIP MARATHON
The Scholarship Marathon is coming up on Friday, January 29th from 11am - 12:30pm, which is a non-student day for teacher grading. The vast majority of scholarships received by students either come from the college they are attending or from a local organization. This event is the best way for you to learn about local scholarships open to BHS seniors. In order to register for this virtual event, simply add your name to the Google Form posted in the Senior Knight Skills Google Classroom and the Running Start Classroom.
PSNS WORK STUDY PROGRAM
Sophomores & Juniors - If you are interested in working at PSNS, we just received some great news. PSNS will be opening their Work Study Program for current Juniors to apply. While this program hires Juniors, all Sophomores and Juniors are invited to attend an information meeting in February. In order to attend, simply add your name to the Google Form posted in the Sophomore and Junior Knight Skills Google Classrooms.
