Message from Mrs. Cicco
Here we are week 2 in our new normal. I hope everyone is staying healthy, washing their hands and finding time to enjoy the nicer weather we have been having. I look forward to seeing the sunshine more often.
I do not know about any of you, but this week seemed to fly by. Our staff has been meeting a lot virtually and trying to make sure we are meeting everyone's needs.
I sent out a survey yesterday, regarding access to internet and devices. If you have not filled that out yet, please do so. Click here to access the survey. It is also a link below technology survey.
As I shared before our staff will not be in the building during the next few weeks and communication will occur through emails, phone calls, virtual meeting etc. Teachers have been working hard to reach out to all students. If you haven't heard from your teacher, please email them. At this time they do not have access to voicemail.
Here is an article from the CDC that may be helpful when talking to your children about Covid-19.
If you have any questions, comments, feedback, feel free to fill this form out. I will get back to you within 24 hours. Brooklyn School Feedback Form. Or I can be reached by email at email@example.com. I will be working remotely for the health and safety of everyone.
As you read through our newsletter there are many links you can click to see more information.
Weekly Challenge - Hurricane Pride
Those in the middle of a hurricane RISE UP and that is exactly what we are going to do.
We have decided that we still have that hurricane pride and want our students, families, and staff to see that. We are going to have weekly challenges (school appropriate). Teachers will share with families, I will share in the weekly newsletter. We asked that kids/families submit pictures or videos to their teachers. The following week pictures will be posted in our newsletter.
This week's challenge -
Each day we have a different challenge, pick 1 or pick them all to participate and share your photo's. See below the daily activities. Prior to participating, make sure your parents allow you to complete any tasks.
I look forward to seeing your photo's.
Thank you to everyone who shared a photo of American Pride.
Monday - Pet Parade
Tuesday - What Are You Reading
Wednesday - Let's Get Physical
Thursday - What's Cooking, Good Looking?
Friday - Teacher Appreciateion
