From the desk of Mrs. Anderson

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! Our students and staff were excited to be back at school this week and jump back into learning!

Yesterday, our 2nd graders participated in a program called, “Read like a Pro” presented by the Pacers. What an exciting event for our students! Make sure you check out the photos in our Gazette below!

I was honored to have lunch with Mrs. Klassen’s 1st grade class today! They spun our Gold Academy Incentive Wheel and won lunch with me as a reward for following our school-wide expectations! See below

Next week, Mrs. LeMay and I will be meeting with each grade level to review our school-wide expectations through our PBIS work – Respect, Responsibility, and Safety. We will also talk to our students about an incentive for the positive behavior that the students display each day!

As always, our goal is to Educate, Empower and Inspire our students each day!

Gold Academy is Decatur Proud!

Students learn so many things at school each day and it is important to be here on time. Hopefully, you would agree this is a life skill and responsibility. The School Board approved a Tardy Policy and spells out consequences for students not at school at 8:00 a.m. Thank you in advance for getting your children to school each day on time. Our attendance rate for the first semester was 96.02%
