Principal's message - week 39
Greetings North Plains Families!
It was fun to see so many of you at the ice cream social on Thursday! So glad the weather turned out ok, whew! Now we need to hope for the same luck this coming Saturday for our school carnival! Yes, the carnival is definitely ON, rain or shine! One of the highlights will surely be the dunk tank, yes the dunk tank! Here is the schedule as it stands right now:
Ms. Debolt 12:15
Ms. Monahan 12:45
Ms. Smith 1:15
Ms. Josie 1:45
Ms. Lee 2:15
There will be a LOT of other really fun stuff to do as well, and it will be very affordable, so come out and have a great time!
This Tuesday, June 6, Will Worthy from the NP Library will be here to talk about the summer reading program. If you haven't met Will or seen him speak, you might want to stick around when dropping off your child that morning as he will begin about 7:45 and he's a hoot to watch! Unfortunately I'll be at an all day meeting and will miss the fun:(
Friday, June 9, we will have a storyteller here for the kids and it should be a really great experience. Here is the schedule in case you want to check it out:
8 – 9 AM Underhill, Schneider, Phipps, Ravins
9:30 – 10:30 Monahan, Debolt, Gale, Job
12:35 – 1:35 Lee, Richter, Chronister, McDowall
The event will take place in the gym.
Please check the lost and found link below! Mr. Orozco has done a great job keeping our lost and found organized and updated for you, so take this opportunity to see if you can find something that belongs to your child!
Finally, we are starting to see students bringing spinners again - or trying to anyway. They are showing up on buses and in the morning. Please remind your child to leave spinners and other toys at home!
I hope you are all having a great weekend!
Becky

If you would like to volunteer, we will be sending out a sign up at a later date, but if you would like to PLAY, please see the brochure on the following link http://tinyurl.com/npes-GlowGolf2017 This is a super fun event and brings in quite a bit of money for us (Thank you Joanna Mehaffey at Columbia Bank!) which we will be using to purchase more chrome books and increase our STEM opportunities next year. I hope you can join us on Friday, Sept. 8.
