Petaluma City Schools Discipline Matrix
Welcome to another school year! We look forward to seeing you on our campus.
Please know that student well-being and safety is our priority and we maintain high expectations and hopes for all of our students. At the start of each year, we also like to make stakeholders aware of possible consequences for inappropriate behaviors, should they occur. Attached you will find our current discipline matrix, which serves as a guideline for many disciplinary situations, although it is not an exhaustive list.
While we will use this matrix to guide our decisions around student disciplinary infractions, site and district stakeholders will concurrently engage in continued review and revision of various guidelines to best meet the needs of our school community; increase our offerings of counseling and educational services around tough issues that face our community, such as vaping; and explore effective restorative practices.
Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about student safety and wellness on our campus this year.
