Let us help you celebrate your 4-H achievements!
Will you be a junior or senior this fall?
If so, don’t forget to apply for the 2020 4-H Royalty Coronation.
It’s a great way to celebrate your 4-H career with other 4-Hers and the community. Being selected as 4-H royalty is a positive way to share your success and experiences throughout your 4-H career and is an excellent addition to your resume, and college scholarship essays. Plus, what a great photo opportunity for mom and dad!
Answering a few simple questions about your 4-H experience will give you the opportunity to represent 4-H in Douglas and Sarpy Counties.
Applications are due June 29, 2020. Get your application here: https://unl.box.com/s/u6cbqif4xhnykp0d9x1o5hq4p849jzkc
The coronation of the 4-H royalty will be held at 6 pm on Thursday, July 30, 2020, in the open-air auditorium at the Sarpy County fairgrounds. In the case we must modify this event, we will hold a virtual/digital celebration.

VIRTUAL DOG CLUB
Are you and your dog at home with nothing to do? Have you thought of training your dog, but didn’t know where to start? Join our 4-H Virtual Dog Club to get started on training your dog at home. You just need a few minutes each day to build the relationship with your dog and improve their behavior.
The club will provide some training tips each week with short videos. You can submit videos of your training progress as we go and get feedback from dog experts. The club is open to all 4-H youth and will focus initially on beginning obedience, but will expand to showmanship and agility as skills increase.
For questions, contact Lisa Karr (lisa.karr@unl.edu).
For more information and to sign up, go to: https://4h.unl.edu/virtual-dog-club
Online Livestock Judging Video Series
During this unusual time, we know that it is extremely difficult for youth to have the opportunity to practice livestock judging and prepare for future contests. This new video series will provide students the chance to evaluate the class, listen to a critique of the class, and hopefully gain some knowledge regarding terminology for their reasons moving forward.
- Each week we will add 1 to 3 classes to the series that way students will enjoy plenty of content.
- Youth can access these videos at 4h.unl.edu/self-paced-videos
