A Note from NSMS
Fall 2018
“The greatest gifts we can give our children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence.” Maria Montessori
This 'Back To School Season' has been exciting and busy as we welcomed so many new and returning families to NSMS. Children of all ages adapted so quickly to their new routines, teachers and classrooms. For some children, this was their very first time transitioning into a classroom. Parents, you did beautifully accompanying your children through this process by showing them your confidence in the school.
As we know, transitions can be tricky for children and adults a like. It takes time for us to adapt to new situations especially when there is a lot of change at once. We would like to thank all of our families for giving NSMS time to adjust to some of the changes that have occurred at our school. NSMS has rich history and solid roots. This has enabled us to adapt smoothly to new decisions and events. What makes our school so strong is the support, dedication and love that families bring to the community year after year.
Although, change can be challenging, it can also bring people together and encourage new ideas. One exciting change is that we will welcome our new Head Of School, Jennifer Fuggini in less than two months. Miss Jennifer Fuggini and I have been working together to begin defining School Goals for the new year. Miss Fuggini has a rich background in Montessori Education and will be an outstanding leader at NSMS.
As I walk down the hallways and into our classrooms, I am struck by the number of dedicated staff members both veterans and new, who are eager to provide your children with an amazing education.
