From the Principal
It is hard to believe that it is almost time for our Thanksgiving break! We have had such a great first nine weeks of school.
Our Veteran’s Day festivities were so amazing! We were excited to have many Veterans join us for breakfast and a parade in their honor. We were entertained by our fabulous choir under the direction of Mrs. Claudia Vigil. We would like to thank the following sponsors for helping to make this day so special for our Veterans: Romero’s Mexican Restaurant for donating the breakfast tacos and sides; our Neighborhood Wal-Mart for donating the paper goods, juice, and fruit; SVS Designs for designing the staffs’ Veteran’s Day shirts, and Cypress Yard Signs for their generous donation of the huge “Thank You Veterans” sign for our front yard. Please support these awesome community partners!
We are looking forward to the 50th day of school on November 27th. This day falls on our first day back from the break, so please remember that students may come to school dressed in 50’s fashion that day.
Thanks for your support of our first big fundraiser for the year. The Great American Fundraiser products are scheduled to be delivered on November 30th, and items ordered can be picked up that day from our Copeland gym from 4:00 – 7:30 p.m.
I hope you all have a safe and happy break from school. I am truly thankful for all of our wonderful Copeland students and families!

Art Supplies Needed!
Parents,
Mrs. Krengel is collecting baby food jars, plastic lids of all kinds and sizes, acrylic or wool yarn, plastic containers with lids and embroidery floss. Drop off any time to the art room.
Thank you, your donations are appreciated!
From the Nurse
Dear PPCD, PK, Kinder and 1st grade parents,
please keep a full set of temperature appropriate clothes in your child’s backpack at all times. The clinic has minimal clothes and not all sizes so doing so may eliminate an unnecessary trip to the school. Should your student “borrow” clothes from the clinic please wash them and return them. Underwear must be a new pair however. Thank you for your understanding.
Thank you,
Chris Cheves BSN, RN
