San Jose Prep update
July 4, 2020
School news and updates
The month of June has been a very busy one for us here at San Jose! We closed out the 4th quarter, started summer school, are enrolling new students, held graduation, have been hiring additional staff, and have been monitoring reopening guidelines. With all that has been happening, I am sure that there are many questions for the next school year. Please know that we are actively working on getting as much information as we can for you to help you prepare for the coming school year. As we confirm information, I will be sending it out to you.
In the meantime, I hope that you are enjoying your summer and are staying safe.
Take care!
Mrs. Knapp
Principal
Campus is closed to public
We will be closed the week of June 29-July 3.

Return to school survey
Option 1: Distance learning- under this option, students would have to "follow the bell", attending their scheduled classes virtually during the normally scheduled class period. Classes would be taught live by our staff. Staff would also have "office hours" just as they have assigned tutoring hours during the school year in order to offer additional assistance. This option would allow for students and staff to stay socially distance to prevent further exposure, but allow students to have live access to their regular classes from their teachers.
Option 2: Blended learning- under this option, students would attend class 2 days a week and participate in distance learning 3 days a week. Classes will be held live every day during their assigned class time. On the days that the students have distance learning, they would have to log on to their assigned class at the time of the assigned class and watch the lesson live (1/2 the class at home and 1/2 the class watching virtually).
Please note that under option 2, we still have to follow CDC and Health department guidelines- if any students or staff were to test positive for COVID-19, the school would have to close and be deep cleaned and would not reopen under the allowable time has passed. In the event this were to happen, classes would take place via e-learning (option 1).
Any person admitted to campus once we reopen will be required to fill out a COVID waiver prior to being able to be on campus.
