Real-World Application of Learning
Advanced Marketing students in Mrs. Thompson's class have spent the last six weeks hard at work creating marketing plans for Fortress Wealth Advisors.
Students analyzed the company’s strategic advantages and challenges and developed a one year plan to increase the business’s market share. Students were then able to present their plans to the business owners, Ben and Amanda Johnson.
Ben and Amanda graciously provided pizza as a way to celebrate their hard work!

Reviewing Through Games
Fifth graders in Mrs. Munsterman's class have been reading "Phineas L. MacGuire Gets Slimed".
As a final project, students created a game to highlight their understanding of the story. Students used vocabulary, events, characters, etc. from the book to create questions. Students then enjoyed playing the games with their classmates.

The first year is in the books for the Clinton Middle School Junior Optimist Club!
The Clinton Middle School Junior Optimist Club is one of only eight Junior Optimist Clubs in the state of Missouri. The district appreciates the Clinton Sunrise Optimist Club for partnering with our students to make this opportunity possible.
At an end of the year celebration, club members celebrated with an ice cream party and scavenger hunt.
Congratulations to the following students who received awards:

Partnership Provides New Learning Opportunities
Automotive Technology students at Clinton Technical School had the opportunity to learn a new skill when they visited Hamilton's Detailing. Thank you to owner, Andy Hamilton who provided this learning opportunity to students.
Students have been putting this new skill-set to work as they detail Clinton Technical School employees' vehicles. A shout-out also goes to Napa, Auto Zone and O'Reilly's for donating car wash kits to students.
Muffins with Mom
Students at Henry Elementary and the Clinton Early Childhood Center had a fun time celebrating the special women in their lives with fun activities, songs, and of course muffins during this year's Muffins with Mom events.
A special shout-out to the district's food service provider, Aramark, for providing the muffins, and to our Bright Futures volunteers for stepping up to fill-in for moms who were unable to attend.

Amanda Brown
Amanda Brown is a 2nd grade teacher at Henry Elementary, where she has worked for the past five years. Before becoming a part of the Cardinal Family, Amanda also worked in the Republic and Appleton City school districts.
Amanda and her husband, Cody (a substitute teacher at Henry and CIS), have been married for almost 10 years. They have two boys, Owen (4) and Kane (2).
When Amanda isn't at work she loves doing anything outside including hunting, fishing, and running, and she really loves the opportunity to travel. Her second passion is baking for other people which is why she started the "Farmer's Market Baking Company".
"I enjoy working in the CSD because we have such a strong work community. I feel like the people I work with are there for me no matter what and I can be there for them. I also feel like the people working here really do have the students' best interests in mind which is all a school district can ask for."
