Susan Dee
Susan has 28 years of teaching experience in pre-k through 5th grade. She is a K-5 Literacy Strategist for RSU5~Durham, Freeport, Pownal, Maine. In addition to working with young readers, she has taught graduate courses for the University of Southern Maine’s Language, Literacy, and Culture Department and is a former member of the Maine Student Book Award Committee. Susan is also chairperson of #nErDcampNNE and occasionally blogs about books, teaching/learning, and life at The Book Maven's Haven.
Gigi McAllister
Gigi McAllister has been teaching for 24 years. She is starting a new position as K-2 Literacy Specialist at Great Falls Elementary in Gorham, Maine this fall. Her Masters degree in literacy was earned at USM and she is currently working on obtaining a CAS in literacy. Gigi serves on the Nerdcamp Northern New England planning committee and the Maine Student Book Award Committee. She is a contributing writer for Choice Literacy, a National Writing Project Teacher Consultant and blogs about books and reading at The Late Bloomer's Book Blog.
