Charger Check-In
May 12, 2022
A Note from Ms. Owens
Last week, Archdiocesan principals had our first in-person meeting since February 2020. One of the speakers, who is a former colleague, began her presentation saying, "Happy Easter!" She shared that this is how she used to greet her theology students on the school days following Easter Break until Pentecost. Her story reminded me that, as faithful Christians, we are an Easter people. Our faith is firmly rooted in the belief of Christ's Ressurection. The picture above showcases the Alleluias our parish buried prior to Lent. They are now proudly displayed on a bulletin board in the church vestibule. Below, I've linked a short reflection from Loyola Press entitled "Live as Easter People." I encourage you to read it when you have a few quiet moments.
Thank you to our incredibly thoughtful and generous Men's Club. They helped end Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week on a high note with an unexpected surprise. On Friday, every school employee received a note of appreciation and a gift! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Many families will see the $75 TRIP fund-raising fee added to their May invoices for Blackbaud Tuition (formerly Smart Tuition). This fund-raising fee aaplies to all K-8 families. If your family earned $75 in TRIP, there won't be a charge. If you have questions about your TRIP fee, please contact Mary Omiecinski.
