Principal Update

Dear Parent(s), Guardian(s), & Students,

The end of the 3rd quarter is just a few weeks away and spring is suppose to be coming. The recent snow days have challenged our routines and we had to cancel our annual Idaho Shakespeare Assembly and three Monday Morning Meetings. We are hopeful our family Dr. Seuss STEM night goes on as planned tonight. Join us at the school from 6:30-8:00 PM (Feb. 28) for some STEM activities and socializing with your school family.

We are excited and hopeful we are back to a regular school routine to keep our focus on the end of the year student learning targets. Thank you for continuing to read together and to review those math facts at home as often as you can. We are committed to utilize each and every school day. Any make up school days/hours will be decided at the upcoming monthly school board meeting. I will keep you informed with that decision.

Thank you for your patience as we rolled out our new volunteer and check in/check out computer kiosk. Your excitement makes it a success for the safety and security of the school.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Berg

The Kids Heart Challenge {March 11-April 1}

We are participating in the The Kids Heart Challenge, formally know as Jump Rope for Heart. This is done through the American Heart Association and promotes learning the importance of heart health while being physically active jumping roping. Students will participate in a jump rope program during P.E. class with Mr. Jeffries during the coming weeks. Our students will be invited to help others and raise funds to help children with special hearts. We will begin the program with a kick off during the Monday Morning Meeting on March 11 and run it through spring break. Anyone participating in the donation section will have until April 1st to turn in the donations. More information will go home with the students during the week of March 11.
