Thank you for making my first year at Otsego my most memorable and best year in education so far. I look forward to many more years serving this district and educating the wonderful students this district has to offer.

STUDENT MEDICATION PICK UP

The last day to pick up student medication is Friday, June 1. Medication can not be sent home with students. Please call Joyce at 419-823-4381, ext. 3100 to arrange a time for pick up. All medication left after June 1 will be disposed of.

SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM

FREE Summer Food Service Program

Otsego Local Schools will host our first Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) beginning Monday, June 4th. The nation-wide program is designed to serve FREE meals to ALL students 18 years and under during the summer season. The U.S. Department of Agricultural has designated Grand Rapids and Weston as eligible sites for the summer of 2018. We are excited to announce that we have partnered with the Weston Library as the lunch sites this summer!

The FREE program is available Monday-Friday and runs from Monday, June 4th until Friday, August 10th. No meals will be served July 2nd to July 6th or Wednesday, July 25th. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to Noon. and has the required five USDA components, which are milk, fruit, vegetable, meat, and bread. All families are encouraged to participate in this program, NO SIGN-UP or REGISTRATION is required. The USDA estimates over 200 million lunches will be served across the country this summer.

Registration is still open!

We still have room for 8th grade students to attend the Washington DC trip next year! Please register online if you are interested in going. We will have some fundraising opportunities in the spring to lower the cost for all students. The money raised will be evenly distributed to all students who attend. The cost listed on the website is the most we could pay, any money raised will lower the cost for everyone!

AUGUST 20 - FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL - 6TH GRADE ONLY

Only 6th graders will report to school on Monday, August 20 (district wide 1st day of school).


The first day of school for 7th and 8th graders is Tuesday, August 21.


August 20 will serve as our 6th grade orientation and will give students a chance to familiarize themselves with the Junior High building, teachers, staff and their schedule. Your child should wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes as they will be participating in various activities. Your student is welcome to bring their homeroom supplies and a packed lunch if they choose not to eat the picnic lunch provided by school.

FAQ'S

What happens if my child loses their agenda book?

Replacement agenda books can be purchased for $5 in the office.

When can I purchase a yearbook for my child?

Yearbook order forms will be sent home in the Spring. Yearbooks will be handed the last week of school.

How do I check my child's grades online?

The link to access Online Grades is on the Parent tab on the JH page of the Otsego website (otsegoknights.org). If you need your child's username and password please contact the office at 419-823-4381.

Is there an App to check my child's grades?

Yes. In your app store search for Powerschool. The username and password is the same one you use to access Online Grades.
