All Things Rushing!
Principal's Message!
While every week brings challenges, this week we had several big challenges. As we worked our way through these challenges, I was struck by the strength that comes out in people. The selflessness, the dedication, the kindness, and the grace that flows from people as they reach out to help face challenges is so amazing. The selflessness that parents show their children, the dedication that teachers and staff approach every child with, the kindness that we show each other, all comes out so freely when we face challenges together! I just wanted to thank you for the continued opportunity to serve you all!
I very recently had the opportunity hear Kevin Brown speak. He speaks about what he calls the Hero Effect. One of the elements of this effect is to approach every situation with the desire to help, but with no strings attached. Seems like such a simple thing to do, but clearly is not that simple. As I was listening to him speak, I thought this is exactly what impressed me during this week of challenges. Everyone involved helped with no strings attached, no desire to ask for something in return only a positive outcome, a conquering of the challenge! What an impressive group we have at Rushing, in our students, our teachers and staff, our parents, and our families!
As always, please reach out with any questions or concerns! Thank you for your continued support and, as I have said, with GRACE, GRATITUDE, and KINDNESS, we can resolve any issue and move forward for the success of our students at Rushing Middle School, GO RAPTORS!
Sincerely,
Danielle Wallace

Yearbook Photo Submissions!
Parents!
The Yearbook needs photos of your students at home, in their activities in and out of school, hobbies, their unique style, where they went on vacation over the summer, their traditions...all the things that make them unique!
It has come to our attention that the previous link was not working. You can now submit at the link below!
Since this year is so different, we are taking a different approach with the yearbook by showing ALL of who our students are, not just a student. I hope you will help us in this!
Please click the link below and share your photos with us so we can get a FULL PICTURE of who our students are!

Hope Squad has organized "Be Kind" yellow T-Shirts as a symbol to simply be kind to one another, which is why you often see yellow shirts and apparel throughout our district on every Wednesday of each month. This stems from supporting the cause of suicide awareness and prevention. This year we have two shirt options for you to choose from and purchase through myschoolbucks for $10. Orders will be placed monthly and delivered to your child's campus.
Please log into your "MySchoolBucks" account to order your t-shirt. The shirt will be delivered to your child's campus.
