Teacher Spotlight: Room 21, Mr. Bremer
Hi All. My name is Ron Bremer and I am very happy to be joining the Hutch team this year. I have been teaching Science and Robotics at Los Coyotes for the last seven years. Prior to that I also taught in the Placentia-Yorba Linda School District. Teaching is a second career for me after spending 28 years in the retail business. I got my bachelor's degree and my teaching credentials from Cal State Fullerton. (Go Titans!)
I love teaching science because I believe that it is very important for people to understand how the world works so they can be informed voters in the future. I plan to start the Hutchinson Aquatic Robotics Team this year to give students the opportunity to do some real hands-on applied science they can use in the real world.
When I'm not teaching Science, I am a passionate SCUBA diver. I help teach new divers, and I lead recreational dives for my dive club. I am a dive volunteer at the Aquarium of the Pacific, and I do a lot of scientific diving to monitor populations of fish, algae, and invertebrates.
My lovely wife Jennie teaches US history at El Dorado High School. My son Daniel lives locally and is slowly making his way through college. My daughter Robin was recently married and is now attending college at the University of Hawaii.
Here's to a great year at Hutch. Go Hawks!
