GO COLTS!
HEY CARY!
Utilize the instructional data you receive with purpose and intentionality. Now is the time to make every day count and maintain focus on the most important student expectations.
The culture of tutoring at Cary is becoming stronger every day so please keep reminding your students of the importance for getting extra support! As we creep closer and closer to the STAAR take advantage of small group instruction opportunities to teach students at different levels ensuring all reach mastery.
Keep up your momentum and remember that you are making a difference in the lives of each your students.
Put forth your aspirational voice and give 100%!
SMU 8th grade field trip was a HUGE success!
These were some highlights for our 8th graders:
- Students toured the Bush Library and Museum where they reflected on the events of 9/11 and touch a beam from the World Trade Center, made their own decisions about how they would have handled Hurricane Katrina, and posed in the Oval Office.
- Students engaged with a Cary alumnus who now works in the Provost's office and attended SMU. Joe Carreon passed his Cary Colts ID badge around, told students he still shops at the local Fiesta, and invited students to feel at home at SMU.
- Students walked the SMU campus with current students and saw everything from the athletic facilities where athletes were receiving physical therapy to an engineering lab where robots get made.

Thank you for making this a priority so BIG SHOUT OUT to everyone!!!
Achieve 3000
It is a great program that we have been fortunate to have the district provide for us. The program will also support our ELL students by supporting their language growth with a standards-aligned custom curriculum that integrates phonics and fluency practice.
Look forward to more information on this in the very near future!
