Principal's Report
A Weekly Update from Perkiomen Valley Middle School East
A Word From Dr. Clune
Dear PV East Parents,
We had a Super Fun time with our Glow Dance Party. Thank you to our PBIS team for organizing this student reward and also to Mr. McGinley for being our guest DJ. Everyone had a great time.
Our Book Fair is all next week. Please read the attached flyer below. There are some great books to buy and prizes to win!
Halloween is Monday night (10/31/22). We do not promote wearing costumes in school. If a student does choose to be 'festive', their clothing should, as always, follow our dress code policy. We do encourage all of our students who participate in trick-or-treating to travel in groups with an adult, use a flashlight, and have parents check all candy before eating. Please remember that the next day, Tuesday (11/1/22), is a school day. We want everyone to have a good night's sleep and be ready for learning. Students may not share candy with other students in school and it can only be eaten during lunchtime.
The CAUSE student club wants to remind everyone that October is Filipino Heritage Month. Please read the attached flyer.
Chess Club is back by popular demand. Other clubs have updates. Please check out our Activities page on our website. You can email the advisor of any club listed.

Seamus Clune, Ph.D.

- Review your child's grades on ParentVUE. For more information on accessing ParentVUE please see the following instructions or log-in information.
- If your child has no grade or a "0" for any assignments, have your child speak to his/her teacher asap to make-up assignments, if able or necessary.
- Review your child's Google Classroom pages with them. Your child can log on to their Google Classroom pages and show you completed assignments. Please note, students may submit a Google Classroom assignment without completing it. Free Breakfast Program for ALL Students.
As a reminder, Governor Tom Wolf announced free school breakfast for all students across the commonwealth. The Universal Free Breakfast Program will run through the end of the 2022-23 school year and is open to all students, no questions asked.
We are aware that some families may prefer that their students not participate in the free breakfast at school (in some instances last year, students were eating two breakfasts - one at home prior to school and one after arriving at school). Families may choose to “opt their child(ren) out” from obtaining breakfast using this form. If a family opts out, the student’s account will be flagged and breakfast will not be available to them. You may change this preference at any time by contacting our Food Service department.
