Update from the Principals

The staff at Stone Creek is already fast at work preparing for the 2017-2018 school year. Recently we selected the image of the Stone Creek Dragon. Dr. Bishop and Mrs. Armbruster have been busy building the best staff for our students. Staff has been meeting bi-weekly to work on building a matrix, organizing yearly traditions, and forming schedules.

Dr. Bishop and Mrs. Armbruster have met multiple times with parents to begin planning the vision for the parent organization. At this first meeting, two committees were formed to start planning summer activities. Our plan will be to continue to update you with our progress.

Opening Ceremony

Location: Stone Creek Elementary

Date: August 14, 2017

Time: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Ribbon Cutting at 5:30 p.m.

Two summer events are being planned to allow SCE Families to meet staff and other Stone Creek Families. There will be more details to come on these two events as plans are finalized. We do know they will take place on the following dates.

August 3, 2017

Parents are already working on planning the above events. These committees were formed at the first parent meeting on April 5, 2017. If you would like to help but wasn't able to attend this meeting, please read below.

While meeting with parents during the past two meetings, our parents have voiced that many parents are willing to help the building as needed once we gain occupancy. If you are one of the parents who are willing to help if needed, please use the link below to submit your interest in volunteering.

Those who submit their name will be contacted about times/dates and what are exact needs are. We appreciate our Stone Creek parents wanting to help.

Melvin and Melissa have been meeting with families. The first gathering was to create the vision of what this organization will stand for and goals for the group. At this meeting, two parent committees were formed to plan summer events. As future meeting dates are set, we will communicate this information out to you.

One parent is leading a drive to collect gently used books to be donated to the Stone Creek classrooms. This will help teachers build their libraries. See the photo for more information if you have books to donate.
