Due to our new circumstances, Mission will only be putting out requests once a month. To accommodate this, “Mission Page” will be putting an insert in our bulletin the second Sunday of each month. We will request you bring your contributions on the third Sunday of each month. We will have a couple of boxes identified in the vestibule area of the church for you to put items in.
TWIN LAKES FOOD BANK: has developmed a ministry to the homebound seniors in our area to have items home delivered to them. TWIN LAKES has been able to purchase a new refrigerated truck to have available for this service. This month the items they needed are: small amount (1lb.) of coffee (decaf, regular, ground or bean), Depends, vitamins, toilet paper, any items you know they could use.
Because of their age and situation, they needed more than just a once a month delivery, so TLFB is making them a twice a month delivery! Thank you all for adopting this new schedule and may God bless it.
NEWS FROM THE SCHOCH’S OF ALBANIA: Time flies by so fast as we all know, The Schoch’s arrived in Albania to start their ministry on Feb. 2 (Groundhog Day) 1996. Their Christar team gifted them at a dinner celebrating their 20th year of service. David commented in his newsletter, “What a privilege to serve on this foreign field, whose foreign-ness to us has all but faded.”
The Schoch’s will be returning home this summer for a year to help them follow God’s guidance: for their 18-year-old daughters ‘s transition, schooling options after High School graduation, provision for each child’s schooling cost and our wisdom in it all.
We will look forward to inviting them to speak to us here at Hope Presbyterian Church.
