EARTH DAY
By: Owen McFadden
Earth Day History
The idea Earth Day came from the founder Gaylord Nelson. As a result, on April 22, 20 million Americans took to the streets, parks, and auditoriums to demonstrate for a healthy, sustainable environment in massive coast-to-coast rallies.
Reuse
You can reuse things like plastic bottles. You can reuse the plastic bottles by putting them into a cool lamp so that you can save money by just buying the bulbs and not the whole lamp.
Interesting Facts
One interesting fact is that 200 million people in 141 countries participated in the event. Another fact is that in 2010, for the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, 225,000 people gathered at the National Mall.
