Frequently Asked Questions
The Elementary Behavior Support Program (EBSP) is an intensive, tier 3, counseling intervention.
What is the goal of EBSP?
The goal of the EBSP is to help students, families, and school staff work together in the best interest of the student. Students will build on skills that will help improve their ability to cope in school, at home, and in the community.
How can students be served through EBSP?
We can serve students both in the EBSP classroom and on your campus. Jana and Erin are available (by appointment) to meet with students on your campus to provide direct skill development.
What services are provided by the EBSP staff?
· Behavior Intervention
· Treatment Planning
· Social Skills Training
· Guidance Lessons
What is expected of the home campus and parents of an EBSP student?
As part of a continuum of care, staff and parents/family are encouraged to visit the EBSP room located within the Community Learning Center (CLC) on Timber Forest in Atascocita. This visit to campus will promote a unified front to the student that will reinforce the strategies being taught. Additionally, this will allow the Elementary Behavior Support Counselor to provide possible interventions for the family to use at home.
