The Lawrence Public Library announced the books for Read Across Lawrence 2016. South Middle School will host the author's of the Teen Pick for Read Across Lawrence, Amie Kauffman and Megan Spooner. Kauffman and Spooner's Novel, "These Broken Stars" is available FREE through Lawrence Public Library. Teachers can grab a classroom set with lesson ideas and resources from Miriam Wallen, Teen Services Librarian at LPL.

#SMSIT8 Show & Share
Students in Integrated Tech 8 presented their personal learning plan goals and progress to classmates. Students select a topic of interest to focus on for the quarter, create objectives and a plan to learn more about that topic. Topics this quarter include: pod casts, digital art, animation, music, culinary arts, engineering, robotics and gaming.
