PTO PRESIDENT’S REPORT
The Montgomery Elementary Super-Carnival is getting closer…
This year’s Super-Carnival will be on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 5:30-9pm!
It’s an amazing event for all and a very important fundraiser for our school!
A lot of information will be coming home or will be posted in the Newsletter/Website over the next few weeks so please be on the lookout! We are not be able to do this without our amazing parent volunteers, sponsors, and generous donors!
In this week’s S’more you will find information on being a Family Silent Auction Sponsor or Donor (this area is typically geared towards parents and also large ticket kids items). If you or someone you know own a business and would like to sponsor or donate a separate form can be found for Business Sponsorships and Donations on the Website or by contacting our Silent Auction chairs at montelemcarnival@gmail.com.
Another way you can contribute is by to donating items for our basket raffle. These are fun filled baskets specifically designed for the kids! Please consider an item or two! Once again without your generous donations this would not be possible!
Sign Up to Volunteer to Work a Shift! More information can be found in the S’more (including the SignUpGenius Link). Carnival will not happen without volunteers! Sign up by yourself or as a group but make sure to do it soon!!!
Coming soon will be more information on how to purchase tickets, and Kindergarten Cake Walk and Bake Sale donations!
------------
Our next General Meeting is Wednesday, January 16th at 9:30am!
I’m very excited that Bill Fritz, Director of Technology for the district, has agreed to speak at our next general meeting about kids, the internet, and what parents can do to keep them safe.
Please follow our private Facebook group, “Montgomery Elementary PTO” to learn about upcoming events and see photos of your children having fun experiences at school.
The PTO would not be able to do what we do without our amazing volunteers, parents, teachers, and staff. If you would please take a moment to fill out the Montgomery Elementary PTO Questionnaire we would greatly appreciate your feedback.
Have questions before then please contact me, Kristy Felss, at mtpto@sycamoreschools.org.
There will be NO AVIATION STATION homework help next week
December 17 - December 21.
Thank you to all the Third and Fourth Graders who auditioned Wednesday!
It’s going to be another amazing Montgomery Elementary Musical!
Rehearsals begin Wednesday, January 9, 2019!
More information on purchasing tickets to come soon!
SAVE THE DATE: Performances will take place
Friday, March 1, 2019!
LOST AND FOUND - ATTENTION PARENTS
During Winter Break, any unclaimed Lost and Found items will be donated to a Charity through our Make a Difference Committee. If you are missing any hats, gloves, lunchboxes, etc., please make sure you or your child checks the Lost and Found soon! The Lost and Found is located near the entrance to the gym (at the foot of the stairs leading to the stage).
There are quite a lot of things piled up, so you never know what you may find!
GIFT WRAPPING EXTRAVAGANZA
Please join our Staff Appreciation Committee on Tuesday, December 18th from 1:30pm-3:45pm!
It’s a very hectic time of year and we want to help our teachers out! Come and help wrap their gifts for their loved ones! Bring your own scissors and we provide the rest. Many teachers are taking advantage of this great service so as many volunteers as possible are needed. Come for a little or stay the whole time! Whatever you can do is much appreciated! Please come to the cafeteria and have a great time wrapping presents! Please use the SignUpGenius link below to help give the committee a better idea of how many are able to help out!
TOO MUCH CANDY STILL IN YOUR HOUSE?
Looking for something to do with the Halloween excess? Want to take advantage of post-holiday candy sales and make a donation? The Carnival Committee is looking for nut-free candy donations to help make our Montgomery Elementary Super-Carnival better than ever.
Please bring donations to the front office where there is a box near the PTO Mailboxes for collections. Save the Date: Carnival January 25, 2019!
