First Day of School Monday, Aug. 17!
Argyle ISD Hosts Annual New Eagle Academy
Argyle ISD held its first big back-to-school event last week with the annual New Eagle Academy. It was an exciting time as the district welcomed 60 new teaches and staff under much different circumstances. This year's event included safety measures in place with daily temperature screenings, social distancing during meal, face coverings and use of hand sanitizer.
It will be a new experience this year for all our staff and we are excited to have our new Eagles alongside us as we gear up for the start of 2020-2021.
Special thanks to our outstanding Eagle Partners helping sponsor breakfasts & lunches including Northlake Denistry, Matt Portz State Farm, DATCU Credit Union, The Well, Cross Timbers Chruch, CoServ, PointBank and Kim Reding, Magnolia Realty.
Convocation 2020 Goes Virtual!
The campuses scheduled time to watch this year's Convocation Video. It included a message from Dr. Wright and district leadership with the theme of "Zooming Into the New Year." Dr. Wright was featured at Texas Motor Speedway, where the 2019-2020 school year ended with the Class of 2020 Graduation ceremony.
Argyle ISD student groups were featured in the video and the event included popcorn & candy served to staff to enjoy while watching the video.

Eagles Return to Learning for 2020-2021
Argyle ISD is gearing for the start of the school year and our Eagles will be learning both in-person and virtually for the 2020-2021 school year. Parents were able to choose the instructional method they preferred for their child. Nearly 20 percent of Argyle ISD students will learn through virtual instruction to start the year.
Visit the Return to Learning webpages for more information, including details of virtual instruction and virtual scheduling for all grades. Students are currently committed to their selected learning model for the first nine weeks (grading period) of the school year. Click here to read details of safety protocols in place on the campuses for in-person learners.

Memorable Moment: Teachers Return to Classrooms
Last Wednesday marked a special day in Argyle ISD. It was the return to the campuses and classrooms for our teachers as they reported for the 2020-2021 school year.
For many, it was the return to their beloved rooms to work for the first time since early March. Their rooms were left behind as our schools closed for the remainder of the spring semester due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Argyle ISD is blessed with so many amazing teachers and we are grateful for their commitment and passion for serving our Eagles. We recognize that this year will be unlike any before and we stand together with our teachers to help and support them through so much uncertainty.
