STAFF SPOTLIGHT

Lori Kouba is our staff member in the spotlight! Lori has worked for Columbia School District for the past 18 years. She started out subbing as a Kindergarten aide when Kindergarten was at the high school. She is the Buddies Coordinator for CES, which is a mentoring program for students to get extra help with reading and math. Her two children, Kyle and Ashlyn, are Columbia graduates. Her favorite restaurant is the Olive Garden, her favorite candy is M&Ms and her favorite color is black because it goes with everything! She enjoys spending time with her great nieces on the lake. We are grateful to Mrs. Kouba for her kindness and dedication to our students and community!

What did the turkey say to the computer? "Google, Google, Google!"

GRATEFUL

The Educational Foundation for Columbia Schools gave a generous gift to four of our classrooms. The teachers really appreciated getting to purchase items for students to use while learning! Thank you to the Educational Foundation for supporting education @CES.

HAT, GLOVES & COATS, OH MY!

Please send your child with a coat, hat, boots and gloves every day. We go outside every day at CES.

Many items look alike so please label each item with your child's name.

IF YOUR CHILD IS ABSENT

If your child is absent, please call 592-7552 and leave a message including their name and reason for absence. This saves Mrs. Douglas time in the morning because she calls each person who hasn't called in and leaves them a message. Thank you for your help in this matter.
