Great Migration- was the movement of 6 million African Americans out of the rural Southern United States to the urban Northeast, Midwest, and West that occurred between 1910 and 1970. This occurred because they wanted to get out of the south and get better jobs
Harlem Renaissance- was a movement that spanned the 1920s. During the time, it was known as the "New Negro Movement", named after the 1925 anthology by Alain Locke.
They all lived a black life from a black perspective. They all know how they are treated
It let there voice be heard and let people know how blacks are treated in there life.
The reality that they faced was that a lot of people did not like black people. Also they had to represent someone that listen to people who thought they were bigger than you
