Renaissance

1350-1550

The Change

The Renaissance was a cultural time in the 14th century and ended in the 17th century. This was a time where the Italians in Florence started spreading and influencing literature , philosophy , art, music , politics , science , religion , and more. This was quickly spreading throughout Europe.

People Associated With The Change

Some people who were involved with the Renaissance were Leonardo Da Vinci, painter of the Mona Lisa, The Last Supper , and the Virgin Of The Rocks. Michelangelo created the Statue Of David , painted the Sistine Chaplet, and the Creation Of Adam. William Shakespeare, poet and play writer. He influenced The Renaissance by creating many "human" characters with psychologically complexity. Some of his most known work were Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, Merchant of Venice and Hamlet. Martin Luther was the leader of the Protestant reformation and wrote 95 thesis attacking the church such like criticising the belief sin could be mitigated by paying money to the church, he was the ex- communicated from the Catholic church and was a big figure in the new Protestant religion.

Trade

Trade was very popular in taly, it's what actually started The Renaissance. With trade the Italians made it possible to spread all of these things and eventually call it The Renaissance. Trade made many people gain a lot of money which lead to them being rich and that's why people from across Europe started coming to them for their goods.

The Impact

The Renaissance did not only influence art and music culture but it also brought people together around them, from just starting in Italy to spreading throughtout Europe I would say this was a very successful period of time in history.

The Bubonic Plague ( The Black Death )

The Black Death was a period if time during the late Middle Ages and early Renaissance (1350-1450) that wiped out half of the population in Europe ( aproximtly 75 to 200 million people) . The dieases started in central Asia and quickly spread throughout Europe. This dieases started with fleas on rats, these flea rats started out in Merchants Ships and spread rapidly through the Silk Road which lead into the Mediterranean and eventually to Europe. This awful dieases did not only kill half of Europes population but also lead to a econmic depression which made Merchants and traders have a lost in income. The dieases left everyone either dead or with no money from such few people that were left.

Change in Today's Modern Society

Some changes that the Renaissance influenced on today's period of time is definitely muisc, religion and art. I feel that now a days everyone relys on thos three things to slowly develop in our everyday lives and even pieces of art work from back then is cherished so greatfully now and has a lot of meaning to it , even religion is more known and used as back then, also it is more respected than what is was years ago when it started.
