Great Things I Saw This Week
This week in PLC, the social studies and science group was working hard on creating their instructional calendars! The collaboration going on in this group was phenomenal! Also, I had the chance to see Mrs. Good working with our math PLC group. Great collaboration is happening in our PLC groups and I appreciate the work you all are doing with your high priority standards, instructional strategies, and student learning data! Keep up the good work!

We cannot thank our PTO enough for the fantastic lunch they provided in honor of FC teachers and staff on Tuesday! Some parents left before we got a group picture, but these two ladies were the leaders of the pack! Thanks so much Rachel, Jill, and all other parents who helped on Tuesday! We are thankful for you!
FC Drama Club, "7 Ways to Say I Love You"!
Willie Frazee has been taking our plastic recycling to the recycling bin in Waynetown! What a fantastic student he is! Thank you, Willie!

#MustangMindset, SEL Coordinator
I just wanted to take a moment and update you on the Student Support Group PLC. We have been focusing on attendance, behavior, and grades on a rotating basis per nine weeks. We also have been taking referrals from teachers about general student concerns. For attendance, we have pushed out lessons that focus on the importance of regular attendance and how detrimental missing numerous school days can be. We are focused on maintaining or increasing the school’s attendance percentage at 95%. In the month of October, we were at 95.02%. The percentage of seniors who missed in the month of October was greater than it had been in previous months, so if you teach seniors or have them in your homeroom, please reinforce the importance of attendance. As far as behavior goes, we have been collecting data each nine weeks on behavior referrals. We compile all of those results into one google sheet so we can see who is struggling each nine weeks. For those students who receive three or more referrals, they will have to meet with a member of the team and talk about their behavior and what interventions might be necessary. For grades, we pull the students who have D’s and F’s in their classes and we reach out to their homeroom teachers, their classroom teachers, or the student themself in order to provide support. Our goal is to continue to track these things and provide interventions when we can. We also plan to continue to use advisory in order to reinforce these ideas and add SEL skills for our students.
Alongside this, if you have a specific student that you are concerned about (whether its grades, attendance, tardies, basic needs, SEL, etc), please don’t hesitate to pass that name along with your concern to anyone in Group 4.
Group 4: Dave Bolin, Tim Garbison, Emily Watson, Lisa Jones, Ryan Hall, Emily Peterson, and Ric Walke
