Please take time to read the Curbside Pick Up for student belongings information that is listed below. The Graham Staff will try to make this process as easy as possible. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

*IMPORTANT* Curbside Pick Up for Student Belongings
SAVE THE DATE-
CURBSIDE PICK-UP FOR STUDENT BELONGINGS
Graham will be offering curbside pick-up of student items on
June 3rd. Textbooks, classroom books, library books and safety belt drop-off will be offered at the same time.
For the safety of staff and families, there will be no student or parent allowed to enter the building. Parents should remain in their cars at all times. Staff will be taking names along the curb and delivering items.
Curbside pick-up times have been assigned by grade level. The final pick-up time will be only for those who are absolutely unable to come during their scheduled time. If you have children in multiple grades, you can pick up all of your children’s items during the one grade level time slot that works best for you.
Kindergarten
10:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m.
First Grade
11:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.
Second Grade
12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Third Grade
1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Fourth Grade
2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Fifth Grade
3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
For those who are unable to make the scheduled time
4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
When arriving at on your time, please follow these guidelines:
1. Please wear a face mask and arrive by car. Windows and doors must remain closed.
2. Make a sign and place it on the passenger side of your dashboard. Include the teacher’s name and the name of the student(s) for whom you are picking up items. See example below:

3. Drivers should:
Enter the bus loop and follow the curb to the side gym doors.
Stay in a single file and follow directions as given.
4. As you approach the pick-up location - pop open the trunk of your vehicle.
If your trunk does not automatically open from the inside of your car, use proper social distancing to open your trunk. This is the only time you should be out of your vehicle for any reason.
5. An employee will view the sign in your window and ask you to move forward to the second gym door. Your child/ren’s belongings will be delivered to your trunk.
6. Textbooks, classroom books, safety belts, or library books should be returned at this time. Place all items in a bag labeled with the name of your child’s teacher.
7. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.
- For ages 0 - 18 and up to age 26 for persons with special needs.
- Children DO NOT have to be enrolled in an Avondale School District to receive meals.
- Children DO NOT need to be present.

LIBRARY INFORMATION

Good morning!
-We are offering online library card sign up for any adult Auburn Hills residents
-Tumblebooks is free through our website, even for those without a library card
-Blocked or expired library cards can be used to access any of our ebooks or digital resources.
We are also planning on continuing to do a summer reading program this summer, and I would be more than open to any input from teachers or school staff as to how summer reading can support distance learning!

ASD 2020-21 SCHOOL YEAR
Avondale School District has announced the 2020-2021 school year calendar. These dates are CONFIRMED (other dates including half-days, PD days, etc. will be provided at a later date).
- First Day of School for STUDENTS: September 1, 2020 ( 1/2 day) followed by full days on September 2 and 3, 2020 and NO SCHOOL on September 4, 2020 AND September 7, 2020 (Labor Day Observance).
- Holiday Break: December 21, 2020 THROUGH January 1, 2021. (Last day of school before break is December 18, 2020 and the first day of school after break is January 4, 2021).
- Mid-Winter Break: To Be Determined
- Spring Break: March 29, 2021 THROUGH April 2, 2021. (Last day of school before break is March 26, 2021 and the first day of school after break is April 5, 2021).
- LAST Day of School: June 11, 2021
We will provide you with the complete 2020-21 calendar as soon as it is available.
COVID-19 HELP LINE ANNOUNCEMENT
During this crisis, Honor Community Health is committed to providing necessary supports and services to students and families throughout Oakland County. We know the need for mental health services has dramatically increased since the beginning of the pandemic, and many have questions regarding symptoms, testing locations, community resources, etc. Therefore, Honor Community Health has developed a Helpline whereby students and families can access mental health counseling, primary medical care/nurse triage, and connection to community resources. The helpline is available Monday through Friday from 9am to 4pm. The number is 248-897-0722.
