MARK YOUR CALENDAR!
LEARNING CYCLE BREAK
BECS will be closed November 2-6 for our Learning Cycle break. This extended period of time will allow our custodial staff to provide the entire building with a deep clean to ensure when students return on November 9th the building will be sanitized and prepared for our third Learning Cycle to begin.
Mark your calendar and please make arrangements to pick up your Big Kahuna items. All orders must be picked up Wednesday, November 11th between 3:00 pm and 5:30 pm. Please have a piece of paper with your student's name on it when driving up through the main parking lot. REMOTE LEARNING EXPECTATIONS
Piloting New Attendance Method
Beginning with learning cycle 3 students learning remotely will have a different method of attendance through Infinite Campus. If your student is ill, going out to town, or will be late, you still want to call the main office to excuse their absence as you have in the past. However, please contact your students' teacher directly if you are having connectivity issues, inaccurate attendance for a class, or need to communicate an issue with attendance/participation in a class.
Picture Retakes (Additional Day for those who missed 10/16 due to quarantine)
On Thursday, November 12th virtual and in person students who were unable to complete their picture re-take or get their ID photo on our original picture retake day of October 16th will have one final opportunity to do so. Virtual Students can arrive between 7:30 - 8:30 or 11:00 - 12:00. Please park in the parking lot and have your student walk around to the auditorium doors to enter. Students will exit out the small gym doors when done. All students and parents on campus will need to wear a mask and practice social distancing. In person students will take pictures from 8:30 - 11:00. Students may arrive in their picture clothes for their photo and then return to uniform dress upon completion. Please be sure your child’s uniform is packed in their bag. This is NOT a Dress of Choice Day for students.
Message from Eagle Ridge Academy
Dear Parents/Guardians of 8th Grade Students,
We at Eagle Ridge Academy would like to introduce you to our school. Attached is a short video to give you a quick glimpse inside our walls. In a few weeks, we will have some more details for you to review about enrollment and classes.
In November, Eagle Ridge Academy has traditionally held a popular event called "Info Expo Night" where we welcome families of 8th grade students to visit our campus and learn about our college prep high school and the programs we offer. Due to unprecedented times, we have decided to cancel the in-person event and will be producing a video to highlight the many programs and activities we offer instead. For more information, please check out the "Enroll" tab on our website and watch the student video on our homepage.
Additionally, we will open priority enrollment early this year beginning November 1, 2020. We will accept applications through the end of January. If we have more applications than open seats, we will conduct a lottery in February. Additional applications received after January 31st will also be added to the end of the waitlist. Please go to our website and choose the 'ENROLL' tab to sign up.
If you have any questions, please contact us through our website. We hope you enjoy the video!
