OCTOBER ESSENTIAL- RESPECTFULLY SPEAK TO OTHERS AND NEVER ASK FOR MORE
- Always say "thank you" when given something. There is no excuse for not showing appreciation.
- Use your manners (please, thank you, excuse me)
- It is rude to ask if you are getting something for good behavior. You should be good and try your best because you are trying to better yourself, not because you are anticipating a reward.
- Take pride in your work, not everyone in the real world gets a reward for a job well done.
NOVEMBER ESSENTIAL - ALWAYS BE PRESENT BY BEING A GOOD LISTENER
- Be a good listener.
- Nod your head and react appropriately to the comments being made.
- Look at the person who is talking
- Add short comments that fit such as: "That is so interesting!" or "Wow!"

GREEN TREE ELEMENTARY BUS 101 LEADERS
Several students were true leaders helping students and staff members after the bus accident that took place on Tuesday, October 20th. Elizabeth, Kaylee, and Jimmy were three of the leaders.
Elizabeth - She helped students feel safe and calmed them down. She found student items (shoes etc).
Kaylee - Comforted younger students by giving them hugs and reassuring them. She helped out in any way she could.
Jimmy - helped gather another student's items and helped out staff members and Paramedics. He also helped calm down younger students. He was truly a leader.
VETERANS DAY INFORMATION
Even in our unprecedented circumstances, we will still honor our veterans through several different activities during the week of Veterans Day, November 9-11. Although we will not be inviting guests into the building or assembling in a large group, be assured that our students will still participate in activities that guide their hearts toward remembrance and honor.
Please send in your veterans' photos using the attached instructions and sheet. Copies were given to students at school, and you can print more or request additional copies through your child's teacher or the office.
Thank you for helping us honor our veterans! Stay tuned for more information about dress up days and all-school activities focused on Veterans Day 2020.
Sincerely,
Amy Pryor
