Attention Parents/Guardians:

Your student will have the opportunity to increase their awareness of their social and emotional behaviors through completing a social, emotional, academic and behavior screener. The screener, mySAEBRS, will ask students a total of 20 questions and will be completed in under 10 minutes. The student’s teacher will also complete a similar screener based on their observations of the students. This optional screener will allow school staff to identify universal and targeted areas for growth focused on students being able to regulate their emotions, develop positive relationships and make positive decisions.

If you would like to opt your child out of the screening process please click on this link and complete the Opt-Out form by Dec.10th, 2021.

Literacy Updates

Are you looking for strategies to use with your reader at home? Please view the strategies listed below:

Who- What- Why Comprehension Strategy:

Pick points to stop and jot while you are reading. (Could be at the end of a few pages or at the end of a chapter). When you get to your stopping point pause and record the following:

Who the page was about

What the character(s) did

Then infer Why the character(s) took the action they did

Fluency practice: Find a song you know or are familiar with (could be a favorite Christmas tune). Look for the sing along version with lyrics. Sing along, reading the words on the screen as you go.
