Kick-off Picnic

Thank you so much to all the board members, teachers, and parents, who helped out with this year's kick-off picnic! We were overwhelmingly thrilled to see everyone!

Halloween Parade

It's the spooky time again! Children and parents are welcome to wear costumes that are school and culturally appropriate. The parade will end by 11:10 am. Please refer to the costume guidelines above.

New Parent Coffee

We would like to invite all the new parents to join our New Parent Coffee! It's a great opportunity to meet the staff and the other new parents!


Light refreshment will be provided. Returning parents are welcome, too!

CSL Project Based Learning

Our CSL classes has been trailblazing for Project Based Learning approach for a few years now. This year, we are ready to put it at full speed! So far, the CSL Intermediate class has completed the Superheroes project which you will see their personalized superhero costumes in the parade tomorrow. A full video can be found here.


Their next project is to host a Garage Sale in December. More details will follow. I can't wait to see they are putting their language in a real live event!

Covid Response Team

Our school follows the same Covid policies of Shaker School District and CDC. And thank you for having been partners with us!


Since we come back to be in-person this year, CAoC has formed a Covid Response Team to take care of all relevant matters. The head of the Covid Response Team is Dr. Ya-Fen Wang, an associated professor of the College of Nursing at Kent State University.


More importantly, Dr. Wang has also graciously accepted to be the Vice Principal of CAoC. She was the Director of Academic Affairs for 2019-2020 school year. I'd like to specially thank her for all she has done and will be doing for CAoC.


We always welcome suggestions and feedback from parents. We believe strong relationship with families is the way to help your children succeed!

CAoC PTO has been a huge support to our school events including our concession stand, coffee station, Halloween parade, etc. If you are interested in becoming part of PTO, please contact Kelly Liu. Kelly is our board member as well as the Assistant Director of Academic Affairs.


We also love to have parents to bring in special hot food or desserts for our break time snacks. Here is the signup link!

Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning in Cleveland

This year CAoC is partnering with TCML (Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning) to offer two in-person or remote courses for adults!


The next term starts on Saturday, January 15, and Thursday, January 20. Each term lasts for 12 weeks. They are both led by very experienced Mandarin teachers. More concrete information will be posted on the website soon: tcml-cle.org
