Montgomery Township School District
Visual and Performing Arts Newsletter, July 2021
From the Editor
We are so excited to welcome all of our students back into our art studios, rehearsal halls, and theaters this coming Fall! It is clear that our students are eager to get back to our arts programs as enrollment for next year in our music, theater, and art classes is as high as its ever been. We can't wait to see everyone, in person!
In the coming weeks, we will be putting together our performance calendar for the coming school year and will share it once it is done. We so look forward to welcoming you all back to our schools for our incredible concerts, theatrical productions, and art galleries. We can't wait to see you there to celebrate our students and their artistic achievements!
Please take a few moments to look through some of the amazing student work in this newsletter and learn about some important updates. Thank you.
Happy Summer!

Virtual K-12 Arts Extravaganza!
The visual arts faculty of the Montgomery Township School District invites you to enjoy this beautiful digital gallery of some of our students' work that has been done over the course of this school year. During this very challenging year, the arts have continued to be a place for our students to find solace, express themselves, represent how they see the world, and grow in their understanding of themselves and of each other. We are so proud of the hard work and incredible creativity and artistry of our students.
As we all come back to school together in the coming school year, we cannot wait to once again create in-person gallery spaces across our district. We are also excited to once again transform Montgomery High School into a beautiful gallery of student work for our annual Montgomery K-12 Arts Extravaganza. Until then, please enjoy this virtual gallery of student work. We wish you a wonderful and restful summer and look forward to seeing our students in September!
Welcome New Performing Arts Faculty!
Ms. Sarah Talbot Coyle joins us as our district's new theater arts teacher after a successful performance career in New York City and teaching experience in Louisiana. Ms. Talbot Coyle started with us this past March and brings an incredible level of creativity, enthusiasm, and talent to our program. She will be teaching our theater arts classes at both UMS and MHS. The combination of her professional experiences and her love for theater education is already proving to be a winning combination for our students.
Ms. Rebecca Palmer joins us as our newest member of the MHS instrumental music faculty. Ms. Palmer is a professional trumpet player with advanced degrees in trumpet performance and comes to us from the Monroe Township School District where she taught for 5 years. Ms. Palmer is also a Monty grad so we are excited to welcome her home! Her musicianship and knowledge of repertoire is incredibly advanced and she has a passion for creating incredible experiences for her students. Our band and orchestra students will absolutely love having her as a teacher.
Welcome Ms. Talbot Coyle and Ms. Palmer!!
